The author seems to know his stuff (or has done a truckload of research) and it pays off – this is truly frightening material, all the more so because Massucci makes you believe it could happen.  Fans of Tom Clancy, Michael Crichton, Stephen King, Ken Follett take note.

Timothy McPike, Chicago: The action and techno scenes are great, and keeps those pages turning.  But the sense of horror is superb.  It really nailed me on three levels: the setting (the corpse-strewn ranch with its flora reduced to white powder); the physical (e.g., the death of Colonel Martinelli); and the psychological (Julie’s reaction as she’s walking through the virus-devastated ranch building to the climax of her finding her father’s corpse).  It seems CODE:ALPHA already is a genre mix: techno-horror.  But, hey, Frankenstein was techno-horror in 1818.  It’s got to be a movie!
