Dick Fredrickson, PROFILES/Fredrickson & Friends: “It's scary and mind-expanding. It's going to be a movie!  It's full of adventure, it's got the dialogue, it's got the subplots, and a love-story.  It's just made for a perfect adventure movie!”

A reader from Madison, Wisconsin: An Excellent Read!  This is a thrilling ride from start to finish. The author seems to know his stuff (or has done a truckload of research) and it pays off – this is truly frightening material, all the more so because Massucci makes you believe it could happen.  Fans of Tom Clancy, Michael Crichton, Stephen King, Ken Follett take note.

bigbuds1@juno.com, from Denver, Colorado: Fantastic!  I normally don't just pick a book up off the shelf and read it, however, I'm glad that on this occasion I did. I couldn't put this book down. The NYT bestsellers list should include a spot for this one.

Timothy McPike, Chicago: The action and techno scenes are great, and keeps those pages turning.  But the sense of horror is superb.  It really nailed me on three levels: the setting (the corpse-strewn ranch with its flora reduced to white powder); the physical (e.g., the death of Colonel Martinelli); and the psychological (Julie’s reaction as she’s walking through the virus-devastated ranch building to the climax of her finding her father’s corpse).  It seems CODE:ALPHA already is a genre mix: techno-horror.  But, hey, Frankenstein was techno-horror in 1818.  It’s got to be a movie!

Don D’Auria, Senior Editor, Dorchester Publishing Co. Inc., NY:
“Combines frightening prophesy with high-intensity storytelling!”

Mary Sue Seymour, Seymour Literary Agency, NY: “The best elements of both techno-thrillers and biological thrillers.”

John Walker, Chicago: I found the book to be a real page-turner, especially those segments on the “plantation” where the toxins were manufactured.  As I read, I couldn't help but think this would make a great action movie.  In fact, I could see Bruce Willis in the role of “Marshall” and Claire Danes as “Julie.”  I’ll look forward to your next effort.

Bill Kelly, Manager, Information Technology: “Great book couldn’t put it down!  Great job blending the various action lines!”

Beth Etchingham: “At times I felt downright fearful.  Thanks for the experience!”

Reb Scarborough, Information Technology, Houston: “A great read! Your story and characters would fit well into a screenplay.”

Kendra Renfroe, Dublin, Ga.: “CODE: ALPHA is one of the best books I have ever read, and I have read a lot of books.  The reason why I enjoyed your book so much is because it involved people and events from real life, like Saddam Hussein and the different deadly diseases.  I couldn’t wait to get to the next page.  Do you have plans for making this into a movie?  “Outbreak” would have nothing on you.  I would be one of the first in line to see it.”

Jan Caponi, Chicago: “I have read the book three times, and enjoyed it more each time I read it.  My two boys and my husband also read it and enjoyed it.  I can’t wait for the sequel to come out.”

Cathy Wilhelmi, Chicago: “Very well done.  I had a hard time putting it down to try to do my housework.  An excellent book, and I wish it could be a movie.”

Sue Anne Lauzen: “My husband is ready to kill me as last night I had the covers over my head reading with a flashlight!  I'm really impressed.  I thought I had a vivid imagination!”

Chase Davis: “I loved the book, couldn't put it down.  In fact, I lost some sleep over this one.  Good, tight plot!  In fact, I liked it so much, I looked all over the place for more of your books, but couldn't find any.  Glad to hear there will be a sequel.  Thanks again for the good read!”

Kristen Workman: “When my dad gave me your book, I started it and could not put it down.  CODE: ALPHA has a little bit of everything – mystery, adventure, romance, and humor.  The book flowed very nicely, and there was enough suspense at the end of each section to frustrate you and make you want to read fast to find out what happened to the characters.  You definitely have a talent!”

John Lloyd, Naval Captain, Ret.: “Great reading and great action movie material!”

Shelley Isaacson: “I finished the book in one weekend and really enjoyed it.  I put it on my list of ‘looking forward to going to bed so I can read’ books.  Looks like movie material to me.”

Charles Barthel, Tulsa: “I enjoyed CODE: ALPHA very much.  I was not able to put it down.  The plot intrigued me, as I have done a few things that are similar to your book.  I flew UH-1H helicopters in the Army, sometimes supporting Special Forces operations in Vietnam.  I also flew C-141s in the Air Force; one of my last trips was to Antarctica.  I also flew 727s for Braniff, and my last trip with them was to South America.  I was amazed at how accurate your descriptions were.  I was able to visualize many of those areas again.”

William Marsh: “One word: Perfect!”
